What is the Road Accident Fund (RAF)?
The RAF provides personal injury and, when applicable, death compensation to those injured in motor vehicle accidents, provided the accidents were not caused solely by them. The person responsible for the accident is also, in terms of the RAF legislation, indemnified against any claims for compensation for bodily injury (save for so-called “emotional shock” claims).
You may claim for loss of support (if the breadwinner dies), loss of earnings including if you never went back to work, funeral expenses, general damages for pain and suffering, and medical bills.
How long will the process take?
The process can take anywhere between 2 to 4 years depending on the complexity of the injuries and obtaining all relevant documentation, with assistance from the client.

Your role is taking part in collecting/obtaining documents is of tant amount importance.
What do I do with paid medical invoices and any other accident related information?
You submit that to our offices.
What happens if I cannot work anymore - how does that affect my claim?
We claim loss of earning from the time you stopped working until retirement age.
When would the children have access to the money?
At the age of 18 years old provided that there is no curator ad litem appointed.
